Sri Ranganatha Perumal Temple
It's located in an agraharam in the town of koyilvenni, nidamangalam taluka, thiruvarur district, tamil nadu, south india. The temple faces east in the main agraharam and at the end of the agraharam is the famous karumbeshwaran temple. It is believed that the temple came into existence during vedantta mahadesikan's period. The temple is also called vadakalai ranganatha perumal koyil. The temple is open from 6am to 8am in the mornings and 6pm to 8 pm in the evenings all days.
The town kovilvenni/koyilvenni is near needamangalam. It is the western border of thiruvarur distruct, tamil nadu. It lies at thanjavur ~ thrivarur- nagapattaniam nationa hightways road. 25 km east of vaduvoor village where famous ramar temple exists. Vaduvur lies at thanjavur-mannargudi road. On the northern side famous temple town kumbakonam exists which is at 30 km distance.
Kovilvenni historically calleas as “venni paranthalai”. King karikaal cholan in early chola period having head quarters in poornpurhar, had to face a fight at his 18™ years of age with king cheran supported by pandians and king karikaal cholan won the war at this village
Archakar/ bhattachar shri balaji is available at the temple during the open hours all the days (without holidays) throught qut the year. Bhattachar lives near the temple on the same street. Kumbhabhishekam is planned for the following year of this esteemed temple of lord sri ranganadhar. The temple has sannadhis for lord hanuman/maruti and for goddess godha/aandal.
